This two bedroom apartment was in a really tired state. It looked like it hadn’t been touched internally since the 1970s/80s. There was even carpet in the bathroom! It’s a really spacious maisonette over the 2nd and 3rd floor in a beautiful Victorian building. We did a full refurb: it was completely rewired, replastered, we added a new kitchen and bathroom and new flooring throughout.
This was our first ‘no money left in’ deal. We purchased and renovated it with cash and when we remortgaged it had increased in value to such an extent that we were able to pull out more than we’d spent on the whole project.
